Thank you for you comments and patience, this blog is still in its early stages

Thank you for coming to this blog.  We had a good start, then with the publication of Unmaking War, Remaking Men, I was on the road and giving talks.  I’ll be back with new and regular posts in the next day or two, as soon as I get over a cold.

Meanwhile check out the CODEPINK website for Medea Benjamin’s response to the Daily Show and Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity.  He has been ridiculing anti-war groups especially CODEPINK and those of you who watched may have noticed that in his interview with President Obama last night neither mentioned our wars against Afghanistan and Iraq.  I think we need to tell Jon Stewart to stick to comedy and that we cannot restore sanity in wartime.

  1. Dr. Roger Kotila says:

John Stewart has some blind spots which seem odd considering the fact that on so many progressive issues he’s “right on”. For example, he makes fun of the 9/11 Truth Movement despite growing scientific evidence that the 9/11 Commission Report is a cover-up. One might speculate that he has a subconscious protective instinct regarding Israel’s role in keeping America at war including the possible role of the Mossad in false flag operations which create fake enemies and fear.

    • Your insight into Jon Stewart’s possible motives makes sense. His rally seemed to be calling for people to be apolitical at the moment that the government is trying to keep us from noticing that we are fighting two wars and Israel is pressuring the US to support a war against Iran. Thanks for making the connections.
